Accreditation is the educational community’s means of self-regulation. It is the process by which the delivery of programmes of study is reviewed according to stated criteria.

Accreditation should:
  • Strengthen and sustain the quality of course delivery.

  • Allow an evaluation of the quality of the students, staff, programme delivery, resources and assessment strategies.

  • Ensure that the institution provides well trained, highly professional graduates who can fill the needs of the market place/teaching profession.

  • Assure students that they are receiving quality education.
