Supplemental Examinations

(i) A supplemental examination may be held to examine courses taught across the summer semester. Colleges may implement a summer semester during June and July of each year at which time two types of courses may be run:

(a) Revision courses to facilitate students who need to repeat a course in order to progress to the next year, or,

(b) Courses run for the first time to facilitate part-time students whose programme schedule includes study during the summer. Examinations administered in these supplemental examinations will normally be only for courses taught in the summer sessions.

(ii) The grades obtained by students in the supplemental examinations will stand and will be used in calculating students’ averages for that year.
